New Super Mario Bros - Final Castle Speedrun!

by Jonic Linley on July 3rd, 2006

Already? Hot damn!

I haven’t really featured New Super Mario Bros that much on here, but I saw this today and knew I had to share it with you… Jamie Wilson, AKA “Chronorox” (for some reason), YouTubed this video of his record speed run of the final level of the aforementioned platformer.

105 seconds was the time, which Jamie says is a world record as far as he knows… I’d be inclined to agree, because not only is this true speedrun quality material (I’ve seen enough to know), I doubt anyone else in the world has bothered aiming for a speedrun yet!

Here’s the video, or watch it at YouTube:

Nice work Chr0noroX0rroxorz!

Via Digg, isn’t it?

I’m always amazed and intimidated by these videos of people speeding through levels like there’s cake at the end.

    Hot, fresh cake.

    Seriously though - wow.

I wouldn’t like to meet them personally though… Seems dangerous… No, really!

Master Gnome, you know a lot great gaming sites (Such as this one.) I thank you.

Hi, I’m GamerC and if I don’t mind, I like to comment.

That was extremelly incredible!! Props to the person who completed that. I know it took some hours (Probably days) to do that.

If you want to see some more speed runs and expert gamers, check out my site.

Haha its amazing what you find when you google your name =)

Appreciate the comments guys. My record is now 98 seconds, but I think 97 would be the max. Check out my other youtube vids for a NSMB montage that I made which I think is kinda cool.

The montage took about 2 hours to film and edit, so I’m inclined to say the game is probably easier than it looks ;) thanks again
